Dd, I had expected to go far overdue, and did. I was induced at 9 days overdue.

I answered the poll "I thought I was going to be late but I was wrong" because with Ds, I expected to go at *least* two weeks overdue.. or close to. My mom was 4 weeks late with her second baby (two weeks late with the first). Ds was born 2 days past his due date which had me *completely* shocked. I was certain that it couldn't possibly be labor because I was ONLY 2 days overdue. Anyway, so I felt like he was going to be much much later than he was.

This baby, I keep feeling freaked out that I might not even make it to my due date. That idea terrifies me. I mean, it'll be nice to not be pregnant as long, but OMG, if I go at 38 weeks or something? I'm going to be completely confused and in denial (...again...I think my denial about labor held my labor back - my contractions *never* got regular, through my whole labor with Ds).

With DD, I knew she would be a February baby even though I was due right at the end of the month. She came 5 days early.

With this baby, I've been sooooo sure all along I'd go at about the same time... and here I am, still waiting!! I think it's even harder the 2nd time since you have the info/experience from #1 which has been such a strong influence. I wish I'd never had the expectation, because it's really a bummer!

I had a feeling I could do without the whole "birth" thing altogether, haha. But I seriously didn't think there was any chance I'd go early. She was born 41w5d.

I was wrong both times. I thought I would go early with my dd and I was 4 days past my due date. I thought my ds would be born around 3 days past my due date but he was 2 days early.

I thought and hoped I'd go to 42 weeks even (I wanted to see the new Bond movie in theatres lol). DD showed up at 37w, 1d. I was completely unprepared and didn't even have a bag packed.
