How much vitamin D to ward off the stomach flu?

My mom watched my older one a few days ago while I was at a Dr appt and she called me back early, she got hit with the stomach flu and bad. She kept dd away from her and had her use Purell before leaving the house. As soon as we got home I gave both kids extra Vitamin D and have been since Wednesday. She just called to let me know her DH got hit with it last night so its probably not the food poisoning we were hoping for.

So now I'm wondering if I should go ahead and increase the dose again? How much should I be giving them to ward it off? I know I saw some where a formula to calculate the dose.

How much does she weigh?

I use Dr Eisenstein's chart #6.

That was awesome! Thanks! I had no idea I could get the 50,000IU ones outside of the pharmacy with a script. I pay a small fortune for them OOP!
