Hi, My DH just interviewed there, so we might be moving there this summer.
This is his favorite place of all the ones he's interviewing, so he's trying to sway me over there.

We homeschool, so that's my main concern in a town/city that size finding HS friends.

ETA: Looking at your siggie, it looks like we have a lot in common.

What area are you going into at USU?

I'm going into Anthropology, and DH is hoping to start a Masters Program in Natural Resource Management

Keep me updated, would be great to have some good mama friends! Where are you moving from if your DH gets the job?

LOL, Lizzie, we were just there, too! We were there Feb 7-9th and just got back. DH is in love with it there.

I think that there are holistic/natural minded folks there, so that shouldn't be a problem (I learned about food co-ops and the like while we were there).

It's a tough decision for us as it brings us very far away from our families. I guess that's the main thing that is making us think long and hard about this.

We are having a baby in mid-August, so are going to try to move after that sometime (maybe Sept or Oct). DH will be a professor at USU.

When are you moving, and where do you live now?

Cool! What does your DH teach?

I am moving to Logan from Salt Lake, so we'll have family a couple hours away. How about you?

They have a co-op? That's great! Did you go to the natural foods store? I drove by it, but we had exhausted kids so we didn't stop.. and it meets my requirement of having an Indian restaurant, LOL.

We were there on the 4th, so I just missed ya!

We'll be moving this spring, we want to get settled in (and move ASAP because we've been in limbo at my MIL's house!).. I just need to finish my spring semester at my CC before I can move. And we'll be living in family student housing.

You will love Logan! I miss it so very much, we haven't lived there since 2002. I went to USU and worked for the Ecology Center - lots of holistic-minded people there. The canyon is amazing - I really miss all the outdoor rec opportunities just a skip and a hop away. Beate Frome lives just a bit north in Smithfield and has a Babywearing Institute. She's also a homebirther

Ah.. THanks for this! I was really nervous about moving there, but I keep hearing great things, so I'm looking forward to it now!
