What is that "empty" feeling??

Randomly, over the last couple months, I've occasionally had a strange "empty" feeling in my lower abdomen. It doesn't seem to be related to baby movement or position, but it's so strange because it feels JUST like that empty feeling you have inside after the baby is born...except obviously at this point it's NOT empty in there!! Anyone know what causes that?

Does it feel like a "cold spot"?

I've had some weird nervey feeling in my lower belly/upper thighs that I'm sure are nerve related (from some crazy swelling I had with #1 that apparently doesn't fix itself).

I don't think so...more like like there's an empty hollow spot inside. Yeah, hollow...I guess that's a better way to explain it.
