Midwife Reccomendations for the Sacramento area?

I am planning my next pregnancy and would like some recomendations/reviews on homebirth midwives in the sacramento area (who would travel to Stockton). I attempted a homebirth with my son, and am planning on trying for a hbac with the next birth. Any practices highly recomended? I want to investigate early, so when I get pregnant I know who I want to interview. Thanks!
ETA: Also, does anyone have any feedback on The Birth Center in Fair Oaks? Another option I am considering.

I haven't used any of these midwives personnally, but here's some to get you started:
Deborah in Newcastle: http://www.purebirth.com/
These ones are supposed to be fantastic: http://www.birthstream.com/
Another CNM Tuesday in sacramento area: http://www.newearthmidwife.com/ a friend of mine is using Tuesday right now and really likes her.
These ones specialize in water birth. I'm hoping to go with them when the time comes: http://oneheartmidwifery.com/

The Birth Center in Fair Oaks is run by Ruth she is a CNM if that's important to you. I know she's extremely competant. I never vibed with her bedside manner but friends I have LOVE her! http://www.sactobirth.com/

i have heard nothing but good things about tosi at birthstream. i've heard literally from dozens of women who have used tosi (and for all their hb's too) and just absolutely LOVE her! i used to work at the sac nat food co-op downtown and got to meet a lot of her clients - they always were smiling with warmth while talking about tosi and their births.

I actually heard from a woman who did not have a good experience with Birthstream. I still might consider them, except that I think that they don't travel as far as Stockton, although I am not sure about that. Does anyone have anything to say about Born at Home, Claudia Breglia and Jen Brown?

I had Claudia at my first birth when she was with birthstream and it was great! She has some really great stories about Amish births by candlelight which made me more confident that she was a great midwife!

As for Birthstream, Ive heard stories that people werent satisfied with how the mws acted after a transfer. I wasnt a transfer but I had to have my dd at a hospital for a heart defect and birthstream came with me! They were amazing the whole time and PP. Yeah, they said some things, but I contributed it to lack of experience with the situation more than rudeness. Tosi has never been hospitalized. Ever. I never expected her to understand at all. But, Tosi was there for me every second of labor and delivery and for hours after our babe was whisked off to NICU and her outlook was pretty bleak.

I just had a home visit with them 9 month PP and dd was as comfortable in her arms as she is in my arms!! Even when my dd was in the NICU for months, going through surgeries, unable to BF, Tosi and her crew were calling me to offer to run errands, wait in the waiting rooms with me, they researched dds problems and offered advise.

I hope Im not offending anyone, this is purely my very personal experience with them. I just wanted to throw in my 2cents here on Birthstream, even in the worst situation, they were there for me!
