sidecarring with no mattress handles??

Does anyone know how to do this? I have no idea how to tie my mattress to the crib mattress (or otheriwse attach them).

If you don't attach the two, how do you keep the mattresses together? Is stuffing a blanket between the crib and crib mattress enough? I really expect my mattress to move on the box spring, so how do I be sure that a gap wont form between the mattresses?

If it helps, I am attaching the crib to the side of our bed (long sides together). Plus, the crib has an attached changing table so that part will stick out past the head of our bed.

TIA!

We just attached the crib frame to the bed frame and pushed the crib mattress up snug with the bed mattress, then rolled towels between the crib mattress and crib frame. It worked for us!

We don't have handles, so we attached the crib frame to the bed frame, pushed the crib mattress flush with the bed mattress and put some firm craft foam wrapped tightly in a crib sheet in the gap (about 4 inches?). We started out with a rolled blanket, but it kept slipping out.
Good luck!

Here is a great video on sidecarring your crib to the bed frame.
