So sorry to leave everyone hanging!!

Gavin Quinn and Kai Nicholas were born on January 12th (their due date).

Gavin was 8lbs 5oz and 20 inches long. He was born at 6:11am.

Kai was 7lbs even and 19 inches long. He was born at 7:04am.

It was an amazing homebirth!!!

The reason I have been absent is because about 6 hours after birth, Gavin started some fast breathing. We took him to the hospital and he was diagnosed with excess fluid in the lungs (he crowned very quickly!). The hospital policy is 7 days of antibiotics for any excess fluid issues. He was never on any sort of vent or anything. Just an IV. We are bringing him home today and starting our babymoon!

They are just adorable. I will share pictures and the birth story very soon! It truly was just a beautiful, amazing HOMEBIRTH!! I did it!

FINALLY, lol!! Congrats mama . Love the names (okay I'm partial to Quinn as I have a daughter Quinn).

Sorry to hear about the hospitalization - it sucks after a homebirth to have to spend time there. I ended up in for 11 days with my second (singleton) daughter for a wonky cervical lymph node infection when she was 14 days old. After avoiding the hospital for the birth it was annoying to end up there to say the least
