Ergo or Mei Tai for nursing 2 month old?

What is your recommendation? My 2 months old DS loves to nurse... my moby wrap does not work too well for that purpose.
Which would be better for easy and discreet nursing ergo or mei tai?

I vote for a MT & one w/ a head rest like BabyHawk. Much easier to adjust to lower babe to latch on & raise back up when finished. Also higher back than an Ergo.

Thank you, junipervt. So how would you like the baby hawk for nursing? Can you flip the headrest down for other purposes? What about a Kozy carrier? Which MT have head rests?

I can nurse easiest hands free in my BH & I have a ton of carriers (ergo, beco, moby, didymos, ring slings, pouches, wide & narrow podaiges....)

I keep the headrest up all of the time DD doesn't seem to mind it, but you can fold it down if you like. I've never used a Kozy, so I can't help you there.

Did you use babyhawk with or without snaps? Do you have to lower it to nurse and if so, is it easy?

I find it easier to nurse in a mei tai than a structured carrier. Here's a video I did on nursing in a mei tai ~ http://www.slingsilove.com/nursing-i...i/info_48.html

I have the reg Baby Hawk MT not the Oh Snap. I do have to lower DD a little to get her to latch, but I don't have very large breasts (I hear that matters).

It is really easy to lower. I just loosen the top straps a bit until I get her low enough that she can latch. Then I tighten the knot back. When she is done I pull the straps tight again & retighten the knot.

Just wanted to chime in and clarify one thing: Babyhawk makes two different kind of carriers. Their regular meitais would be suitable for a small baby. They have long waist and shoulder straps that tie. Their new 'Oh Snap' carrier doesn't actually have snaps! I know, weird. But it is a soft-structured carrier, and for the most part would not work so well for a 2 month old. It has a sturctured, padded waist that buckles, and shoulder straps that don't cross, you just wear them like backpack straps. There is also a chest belt to hold the straps in place.

I have a Kozy and it works well for nursing. I just have to lower him a bit and retie the straps.

The Moby is generally a fabulous pick for nursing a 2 month old in - did you want help figuring out how to make that work out? if so, pls explain what's not working about it.

When going out and about and nursing discreetly, there is so much fabric over my LO's head (the big lower part with the tag, to make it really discreet), so even I cannot see him when nursing. When I do not pull the lower part with tag all over and try to hide with the side pieces, it does not stay in place. The other day I went to buy fruit, my LO fell asleep while nursing and my nipple came out the wrap on my right side...I realized it probably way too late.
I find it not so easy to lower him and bring him up again when we're out. This wrap somehow does not stay in place and upper and lower him takes time to readjust the sides so he is comfy and secure.
Also when he falls asleep during nursing his head falls into "weird" positions, I have to adjust his head frequently (falls on the chest or tips back).
That is the hug hold. He does not like to be nursed in the cradle hold too much, also his head falls on his chin like that which is hard to see with all the fabric.
I am just a newbie, but really, I want something easier. I put my hopes in the headrest the MT's come with. It also makes me feel more secure if the sides cannot slide out of plce as the MT's have a solid front piece.

My LO was so little I wasn't able to secure her in a Ergo until she was 5/6 months, but nursed on the go with a stretch wrap.
