Do I REALLY need a bottle warmer?

I remember having one for DS and used it every so often, but cannot find it. So, I'm on the hunt for a new one. But do I really need one? If you have one, how often do you use it? What kind do you have?

We only use the bottle warmer occasionally, and only when we've made an 8oz bottle that he doesn't drink much out of. Most of the time when we're following his schedule and using 4oz bottles, there's rarely anything left over, or not enough that would warrant being warmed up later.

We use the First Years' warmer, $10 at toys r us. Not great... it uses water to "boil" from the bottom up. So often the milk will get warmed but the bottle will be screaming hot. Still, for $10 it's been handy to have for those few times, but I wouldn't spend much more $$ cause at least for us, it's not a requirement.

We rarely give DS a bottle, maybe once every few months, but when he has had one the bottle warmer has really come in handy!

Do you need one? No. I have found that thawing the milk under warm/hot water works just as well.

No. Putting the bag/bottle in warm water heats it up fairly quickly.

I use a small dip sized crock pot filled with water. Now that they're nursing more i don't use it much, but when i did keep it plugged in all day, it still only used about as much energy as a lightbulb.

Unless you're planning on exclusively bottle-feeding, I don't see the point.

I have to warm DS's milk at every feeding, and I just use an over-sized coffee mug and hot tap water.

We have to have one because i need to store milk sometimes but have too much lipase in it. I pump at home and at work so i have a bottle warmer at each place.

He'll be bottle fed during the day while I'm at work and when he's alone with DH and family members.

The over-sized coffee mug and hot top water - BINGO! I just found my bottle warmer!!! Thanks!
