I'm trying to decide what to buy. I love the thirsties wrap I have and would like to have them exclusively but a local retailer sells bummis and I can get a discount. Should I stick with what I know works or go for the bummis?
The Bummis are super durable and a lot of people like them. But I like the gussets on the Thirsties because my babes tend to be skinny. Try one Bummi maybe. But if you know the Thirsties work for you, I'd stick with it.
I don't like the fact that bummis don't have double gussets like Thirsties do. They weren't a bad cover, but I didn't feel like they were even close to the Thirsties.
Thirsties (Duo Wraps) have been great for us, but I have always loved Bummis. They are very durable, work beautifully for us, and the prints are fun. If the discount were significant, I'd definitely think it would be worth trying some Bummis.
Thirsites and Bummis Super Brites have double leg gussets. I don't think these are that important, though.
Bummis (all types) have a higher rise and higher cut leg openings. Thirsties have a lower, wider cut that comes lower on the legs. They give very different fits. When my babies are little and chubby, either is fine, but once they thin out, they need the Bummis. I don't think you can go wrong with either, though.
I love both I like the fuller cut of thirsties over fitted or pinned/snappied prefolds
I prefer the bummi to just trifold and also pinning snappi and I love the bummi prints
