My 17 month old is a very grabby child when she's going to sleep. We co-sleep, and one of us lays with her until she falls asleep. She will grab at our collars until she falls asleep. She also does this in the middle of the night if she wakes up. It's driving me crazy! DH is lucky and can sleep through this, unfortunately she is a mama's girl, and I cannot sleep through it.
She's been like this since she could grab, and used to do it all the time when nursing. She does it with everyone who gets her to sleep (babysitters, grandparents, etc.).
Any suggestions? We've tried redirecting her with lovies, taggie blankets, etc., but nothing seems to work. Maybe she'll grow out of it?
