Let's talk about mascara

My one vanity is my eyelashes - they are pretty fantastic when coated with mascara. When they are not, they are completely invisible. I'm using Almay pure blends right now and definitely not loving it - it flakes like crazy. Anyone have any recommendations?

I use maybelin waterproof one. It is not thick and goopy, but it's dark enough and "light" feeling, with no clumps.

I wish I could find a natural mascara, but I love Maybeline original (pink and green ) but with the extra fluffy brush. It never flakes and never clumps.

Aveda Mascara plus Rose. I love it! And it smells so pretty It's a little on the pricey side, so I haven't bought it in a few years.

i am allergic to all Aveda stuff! their eye product line is the worst for me, my eyelids and surrounding areas turn reddish/purple and swell up. it's too bad because they do smell yummy and have really pretty colors.

right now i use EccoBella. it's about $13, great for sensitive skin, goes on smoothly and makes eyelashes POP! (i'm vain about my eyelashes too!) it's completely natural and only has a few ingredients. it also has a mirror along one side, so it makes it easy to get up close and accentuate every lash.

Totally subbing... for the same reasons.
I get so irritated that every natural mascara I have used drops off in a matter of an hour or two - it just doesn't stay. I know it isn't the other usual suspects (like lotion or eye creams) as I usually don't put mascara on until an hour or two after lotion AND non-natural mascara stays on like a champ.

I admit that while I used 100% Pure for just about everything else, I still use Dior mascara. Pricey but awesome and I love the brush. Now that I hear that classic Maybelline has a fluffy brush, I'll give that a go - haven't used that in about 10 years but last time I did, it felt like it flaked a lot....

I would very much prefer to use something more natural but I feel like I'm at my wit's end with trial and error here............

I am really picky about mascara. I like Honeybee Gardens mascara though. It's better than most non natural mascaras.

I just started using Physician's Formula Organic Wear mascara and I love it!

I'm getting back into wearing make-up after about 15 years of not bothering with it except on very special occasions. I didn't even know they made natural mascara. I'm wearing a drug store brand (cover girl, I think) these days because I didn't want to drop a ton of money if I ended up giving up on make-up again.

Anyway, how does everyone take off their mascara? I'm looking for a good natural eye-makeup remover that won't leave a film on my eyelids or take a bunch of lashes off every time I wash.

The only thing I put on my face is coconut oil. I put in on my eyes and then wipe it off with hot towel.

I'm picky about mascara too. I've tried about every kind. I use Cover Girl Volume Exact. I don't use a natural makeup remover. I just use Dove makeup remover wipes. In the past I've used regular face lotion. It doesn't feel as "clean" to me as actual makeup remover, though.
