Vegan fondue?

Anyone have a recipe for fondue using daiya cheese? Do you think I could just sub it in any old cheese fondue recipe? I know I've seen someone on here say they had vegan fondue, but I can't recall who! I'm going to buy a fondue pot this week and am dying to try it out.

Thanks Lizzy. That sounds good. But I'm hoping to find one that uses daiya cheese - that stuff is so realistic when melted!

Looking for good fondue recipes too...Growing up, fondue was a tradition at our house on New Years Eve and Valentines Day. I'm hoping to start the same tradition w/my children. I have all my pots and fondue plates but haven't used them in years.

Success! I just ended up finding a recipe for cheddar cheese and using that and hoped it turned out ok. It turned out outstanding!! Here is the recipe:

1 lb cheddar (I used daiya)
1 tbsp flour
1.5 tsp dry mustard
dash cayenne (I used chipotle tabasco instead and it was great)
3/4 C beer (german style lager)
2 tsp worcestershire sauce

We dipped sourdough and apples and loved it!! Made me so happy. We followed it up with dark chocolate fondue with bananas, strawberries and Amy's brand vegan orange cake (in the freezer with their other products) which was just like pound cake but with an orange hint.
