I have (had) long (past the bra line) thick straight hair. I've been no-poo for about 2-3 months and my hair has never been worse! I went to a stylist yesterday for a hair cut and wound up having to get 6 inches off, it took almost a 1/2 hour of combing to get through the tangles in my hair (I'd just brushed it before going in). I was really embarrassed but since going no poo my hair has been extremely dry and difficult to manage. Since the salon trip my hair feels *much* smoother and silkier, easy to brush. Scalp somewhat itchy though.
I haven't been putting anything on my hair after or during showers. I was just doing conditioner for awhile but that weighed my hair down a lot and just caused a lot of build up. Shampoo bars also just dried my hair out and left build up that made it difficult to brush.
Anybody else have this problem?
