My 19 dd is a horrible teether. Everytime she gets teeth-my nips suffer. However, usually its just a bleb. This time-a huge major blister almost the size of the front of my nipple-clear fluid underneath. That was there for 4 days-usually I do the salt water soaks before and after nursing and she will eventually be able to break the blister by her nursing. However, this time that didn't happen. On the fourth day I noticed that there was a teeny bit of fluid coming out of one part of the blister so I broke it open a tiny bit more to drain it. Felt better-however now there is an open sore. It "looks" better-but is not healing and is agonzing. It broke on Sunday night -so its been about 36 hours or so. Its excruciating to nurse on that side and to make matters worse she is nursing even more frequently-even all through the night. How do I heal this? I have been trying the saltwater soaks as per kellymom and putting lansinoh on it, getting as much air to it as possible...Help. I am in agony-its toe curling reminiscent to the first days/weeks of nursing for us.
