Which doll to buy? - Page 2

dd has many...but this one is a favorite. similar to some of the waldorf dolls...but a much better price. her other favorite is "little baby" or this one

its hard to tell in the pic but second doll has a nice bean body and feels kinda limp and floppy...like a baby. dd LOVES her.

My daughter (19 months) also has the Haba Lily doll and likes her. She enjoys undressing and re-dressing her. She has a couple of other dolls that are ignored but I think she would really like a baby doll. She loved the Middleton dolls at FAO Schwartz that I think are terrible - plastic faces that look far too real.

Can you knit or do you have a friend who would knit a gift for your daughter?

Oh, this one is so adorable. My mom can knit, so I might ask her to do that for DD.
Thanks so much for the link!

I'm still undecided about the doll. I think I'll get her something else and maybe make one for her later. The dancing rain dolls are cute and the kits are affordable

I just got my 2 yr old DS a doll, and I am very glad I took him shopping with me. He picked one that I would not. Target's Bath Baby

I was leaning towards a Rosey Cheeks or something soft like that, but he liked that one. Probably because of the duckies and such that came with. But, he asked for it as soon as we got in the car, and played with it on our long commute home - talking, singing, cuddling. It was very cool.

If his interest keeps up, then I'll probably get him a soft bodied one like a Corelle or Madame Alexander Huggums when the new baby arrives - so he can have a "play baby" and a "gentle baby".
