Purple feet?

Gavin is 3.5 months old, born at 41 weeks, healthy. No problems noted, except the normal murmur at birth that was resolved by day 3. We had him checked over very thoroughly (physical exam only), too, because our second son has a genetic syndrome. No tests have been run on Gavin, but by all accounts he's a healthy infant.

With purple feet.

His feet are always cold and almost always purple-ish in color. He can have on tights, pants, AND socks and still have cold purple feet. I mentioned it to his ped at his 1 and 2 week check, and the ped brushed it off as just an immature circulatory system, nothing to be worried about.

But I'm starting to worry.

Probably I'm just hyper-sensitive to medical problems because of my other son, but I can't shake it. Why are his feet purple?

Anyone else have an infant with purple feet at 3.5 months???

Not any more... DS is 8 months now and his feet are *usually* normal in colour. I wouldn't worry. They say that I'm perfectly normal but when I stand to wash dishes my feet turn an astonishing colour of purple! Try massaging them once in a while to facilitate blood flow, just because he may find it uncomfortable to have cold feet, that should help in the short term and it should resolve itself on its own in the next few months.
