Ok I went back 13 pages of posts and i can't find it.

I feel silly asking.

There was a thread not tooo long ago where a number of moms talked about histroy series for younger readers (gradeschool) .. a couple of Biographies series?

can anyone point me in the right way?

I'm on my phone so I can't help find the old thread but my kids loved the "Childhood of Famous American" series. They were written years ago (my mom read them as a kid and she's 60) but republished recently.

yes that helps.

that was one of the two serise i remember seeing .... our Lib director and i were talking adn I told her I'd e-mail some ideas for adding to the youth / children non-fiction. we are a samll rurla lib so we try to spend money on things that are going to stand the test of time and be "timeless".

I know there are more titles in this series (it's not a series, but I can't think of the word I want), but we like "Who Was Helen Keller?"
