Tell me this is normal and ok please.

DD is just getting over a stomach bug that lasted a bit over 2 days. This is the first time she's thrown up (she didn't even spit up that much as an infant). She she didn't eat any solid food while she was vomiting and only nursed in short spurts. She would take occasional sips of water. Today she obviously feels better, but is still cranky.
She keeps asking for food ("nummy, nummy?") but then dosen't want anything I offer. She's eaten maybe a tablespoon or 2 of plain rice today and that's the only solid food she's had since the chicken she had for dinner then puked up on me that night at 2am. She still isn't really interested in water, but is nursing a lot and hasn't vomited since 3 this morning. Her poop has gone back to EBF yellow and she's peeing noticeably less than usual. I may be nuts but I swear she feels like she's lost weight over the weekend and she's not big to begin with.

I'm usually pretty relaxed about food. I offer and she eats if she's hungry and still nurses a fair bit. For some reason this is freaking me out a bit. Reassure me please.

I had the same stomach bug a couple weeks ago! I was up throwing up Wed night.. but Thursday I felt nauseous all day. Your DD probably still doesn't feel to well. I would just continue to offer water, and lots of nursing. Maybe some saltine crackers and chicken noodle soup? After about a day, I started feeling better and could eat again.

We had the same bug. I didn't want to eat for 3+ days and I'm still being cautious. DS didn't eat for a few days either (breastmilk only.) I think it's okay, just watch her for dehydration and let her nurse a lot.

Oh, and Chamomile tea helped settle our stomachs.
