Ordinary Parents Guide Questions?

We have finished Teach Your Child To Read 100 Easy Lessons. Would using TOPGTTR be redundant? Where would you start? My 7-year old likes the short lesson format, and is a reluctant reader, so I just want something to build his confidence.

We are using All About Spelling #2 and love it. I was thinking about FLL as well for grammar but I've heard not to use it until you have finished OPGTTR? It is all a little confusing to me, but it looks like a great program. Any help clarifying would be great!!

I don't think the end of it would be redundant- OPG goes to about a 4th grade level and the end is a lot of word attack skills. If your child has a hard time with multisyllabic words I think you'd have a good time with it.

I agree that OPGTR would be a good idea. At this point, I think you'd be safe to start FLL now too. Check their FAQ here where they say what lesson in OPG you can start using FLL:

Thanks! I think I figured out where he should pick up! I am looking into getting FLL to start once we get settled with OPG!!
