Is this normal...question about nursing twins

So my breasts are rarely engorged. They just don't feel full ever. The boys are nursing around the clock and seem to be satisfied. Diaper output is ok and Kai is already 5 oz above birth weight (Gavin is a couple ounces below). But I just don't feel full.

Any thoughts on this?

While I have yet to nurse twins I can tell you my experiences with my singletons. My first two babies I never got engorged. They nursed a lot and I guess because they were always nursing it didn't leave time for me to become engorged, even when my milk came in. My 3rd I did become engorged and it also happened to be that he wasn't transferring milk very well so my breast were having time to fill up. So for me it isn't odd to never become engorged. As long as diaper output is good and the babies are growing I wouldn't stress it, now if either of those become a problem then it might be worth looking into.

I rarely felt engorged, at any time during their nursing (2& 1/2 years). I thought it was a benefit! As long as they are gaining, producing the right amount of "output", and are happy, you are probably fine.

I never did, either. I think it is because both sides are being emptied at the same time. Also, the act of nursing from one side causes the other breast to produce milk, so I think you are really being emptied well.

No engorgement here either...at least not until I went back to work last week (they are 1 year old) and then quickly realized that they were eating more than I thought during the day (I pumped 10 oz in 10 min!). I never had engorgement with either of my singletons either. All my babies nursed waaaay too often to ever let anything build up in there

With my DD it seemed I got engorged but she went 3 hours between nursings. I never got engorged with DS, he nursed every 2, so I think he just emptied me better and more often.

But ITA, go more with output and weight gain, that's really the only way to know that they're getting what they need.

normal!

I was never engorged or full-feeling with the twins. Had to wear breastpads all the time with my singletons and never with the twins. No leaking because both sides were always going.

I'll chime in and say it's normal. I never felt full or engorged with my twin boys either. I did with my singleton though!
