Should I be concerned about my son's swellings?

I noticed a few days ago that my 5 year old seems to have some kind of round swelling on both sides of his neck. I'm guessing they're swollen glands, right on the side of the neck halfway between head and shoulder. They don't feel hard, and he says it doesn't hurt when I press on the spots--but they look noticeable to me, about the size of a quarter maybe.

Should I be concerned about this? As far as I know he doesn't currently have any cold or throat infection. The only symptom is these bumps.

I'd get it checked out. But I admit to being lymphatically paranoid.

I'd get it checked out for peace of mind. It's probably something simple, like his body fighting off a cold or maybe just starting to come down with one (I tend to get swollen glands right before I start showing symptoms), but if it were me, I'd take my kid in to be seen. I'm a worrywart and it would be worth it.
