He slept 10 hours!!!! (and going)

OMG - Rowan's still asleep! 10pm to 7:45 when I heard the first peep out of him. Stroked his head and grabbed his hand, he went right back to sleep. Normally he's up a few times during the night, and up like clockwork at 8am. But it's now 8:45 and he's still in the bed. I had to get up - Plenty of sleep for me :-)

WOW. A 10hr stretch. Unbelievable. I know he's got a bit of a cold, but he's getting over it. Maybe that's the reason, maybe it's just an exceptional day!

Anyone else getting long stretches of sleep these days?

Maybe it's a "Rowan" thing, as dd slept through 10-8 last night too!

I've gotten a few 8 hour nights, but we are at 6 max lately... which is absolute heaven to me. My older dd slept 1- 3 or 4 hour stretch and then 2, then 1, then .5 to 1 hour, then up every 15-30 minutes. I think she was at least a year old before we got our first 10 hour stretch.


I keep hearing about a 4 month sleep regression. We had a rough night last night 1 hour, then 2, then 4, then 4 more and then dozed in bed with me for 45 min or so. I hope this doesn't become a trend. She will be 4 months on Saturday.

I've heard about the 4 month sleep regression as well and I think I'm experiencing it. After Thanksgiving, Lake had one night where he did a 10 hr stretch and then would go 7 hours then 3 hours. He did that consistently until the last few weeks. Now, he wakes up constantly! Probably every hour and a half although I don't keep track anymore.

Congrats to you ladies though! I bet you're in heaven.

Bravo Rowan(s)!!!

I'm greatful of Mila's 12-hour stretch (7PM-7AM). I breastfeed her while she sleeps (around 9 or 10PM and again just before I fall asleep so - around midnight). I can also change her diaper without waking her. We had couple of nights where she would start to wake up (she's teething), but does not wake up 100%, and so far, I managed nursing her back to sleep.

She has been a great sleeper since day one, and I'm enjoying it!

I just have to add to my original post cause it's just... weird. Regression, I dunno what you call it. But 10hrs turned into almost 12hrs. Woke up slightly hungry, and I mean, only slightly. Totally happy content baby. Awake this morning. Wonderful 3hr nap (never happened before) this afternoon. And he went down tonight at 8pm (also never happened before). Is he down for the night? It's 11pm and I'm headed to bed, slightly terrified that he's going to be UP at 3am :-) What a weird night/day/night this has been for 'us'!!

That's great news! I remember when my DD did a long stretch for the first time. I couldn't believe it. I checked on her all night expecting her to wake up.
