vaccines and medical degrees?

Does anyone have any information regarding vaccines and going in the medical field? I was looking at going into physical therapy assistant, but it said all vax need to be utd. At least according to the college page. I guess this is the same for nursing school? Is there a way around this?
My friend is a PT, and she said no one even mentions her getting a flu vax yearly, but I don't know about when she went to school for it.

were you vaxed as a child? I ask because in college all they asked for was proof of my vaccines given as a child to make sure I had completed the series...which I had The only other thing that was encourages was a tetnus booster and flu vax...passed on them. the only other thing that was required both in nursing school and after (job wise) was a cleared TB test. Flu vaccines were encouraged but I knew a lot of people who didnt. If there is a vaccine exemption in your state you could go on those grounds.

I would did up ALL your old vax records and have titers drawn (if the results don't meet the acceptable level, don't tell the school you had done it).

Most students that post here are to told they need a Hep B and MMR booster. Though you can often get exemptions for the school, "clinicals" are more strict.
