Aristocrats wool longies or tiny bird organics long wool soaker/pants?

A very kind relative wants to get something for my newborn baby... and I can't decide between the aristocrats long wool soaker (longies) or the tiny bird organics long wool pants with the 'soaker' inside as well.....

if you own either of these, please tell me what you love or hate about them.

grazie!

Honestly, I'd probably ask for a wool sleep sack... it'll fit longer, and I got far more use out of our sleep sack (and still do at 4 mos) than I would have/did out of longies. I have custom made longies that were too long for him when we got them and now they're capri length a month later, but his sleep sack still fits him (and will for quite some time).

But that's just my thoughts on the matter.

interesting... my only hesitation with a sleep sack is that when crawling it won't work as pants, and they can't go in the ergo when he is bigger... so it is limited in use as well ?? Now in his longies, I just roll up the pants since its not like he'll trip on them.

I was just looking for something more heavy duty, though. So I like longies and don't mind simply rolling them up ... I was just looking for a comparison between the two or if someone liked the tiny birds vs. the aristocrats.

Personally, I would go with the Aristocrats. They are by no means the frugal alternative. They do come at a cost. However, at least for me, they have been bullet-proof in terms of leaks. They just don't (when properly lanolized). I love them. I wish they came in fun colors and were cuter. However, I have had success at dying them which helps.

I am sure you will be fine either way. However, personally, I would do the Aristos.

I've only used the Aristocrats soakers, but I LOVE them. They're thick, and soft and just great. They're also very stretchy, which means they have a larger size range and longer wear.
