I feel silly asking this.
We've been doing a bit of BLW with 7 month old ds2 for a few weeks now and he's played with the food, mouthed it a bit and had fun but hasn't eaten much of it. Normal, I know. For fun, I mashed up some avocado and banana about a week ago, added some breastmilk and gave him a spoonful - and he LOVED it. Now, every time we eat, he fusses until we bring him a bowl and spoon and feed him. (So much for BLW, right?
) I do still give him chunks of things and we play with the texture, but he seems to be the bottomless pit - he just keeps eating and eating and eating... I steamed and smooshed up a pear tonight and he ate the whole thing!
I'm not used to this. Ds1 wasn't really interested in solids until much later. It seems that everything I read talks about the opposite problem and to start slow. I'm trying to follow his lead but is it possible for him to eat too much? Especially since I'm the one spooning it in? He has been nursing a lot lately - I thought teething but maybe he really is hungry?
