Vitamin E drops for infants

Our pediatrician gave us some vit. E drops called Tri-Vi-Sol by Enfamil because of winter and low light. In the same way that I am suspicious about fluoride drops, do you think it's okay to give these drops to my 6 week old infant - or not? I must admit to knowing nothing about vit. E drops!

are you sure you don't mean vitamin d?

links about the importance of vitamin d, which most people are deficient in:

Our first ped reccomended tri-vol-sol as well. As soon as I read the ingredient list I said no way. It contains polysorbate 80 and propylene glycol That stuff is nasty (also used in vaccines). I started giving my infact Carlson brand vit d drops and yes you should be giving your child vit d drops! tri vol sol are vit a, d and e drops.

you can obtain drops with out nasty chemical preservatives in them.

There are threads discussing supplementing mom instead, usually in the range of 4000-6000 IU/day, but either way, _your_ vitamin d status is also important to your health.
