There seems to be something about me being pregnant and snowstorms.
With my first son, we lived in the Mid-Atlantic, but had the most snow of our entire time living there when I was about 8 months along. My partner wouldn't let me do any shoveling because she was afraid of me going into labor when ambulances weren't able to get through to places. And then after he was born, we took him home in flurries, even though it was the end of March.
This time, we're in the Southwest and getting snow from all those Pacific fronts. My son's school is letting out early today and already planning on a delayed opening tomorrow--if they don't cancel school altogether. Today's snow started earlier than expected and is supposed to come in bands through Saturday afternoon. I, of course, have been having contractions on and off since the weekend, especially Monday night into Tuesday. I'm trying to explain to this guy that he either needs to come RIGHT NOW, before the roads get too bad, or wait until they're plowed again.

) that put me into labor, but a hurricane...Katrina! I am in Houston so only 5 hours or so from NO, and that barometric pressure change sure got things moving for me that time! Still waiting on SOMETHING to happen this time!
