So, when my oldest DS found out we were having a new baby (he's 5.5), he asked if he could come to the baby shower. To him, the baby shower means, when the baby is born, as I have birthed my last two babies in the shower :-)
I'm planning to have this baby at a birth center that is within a hospital (b/c we have no freestanding birthcenters around here
). I was super sad when at 5 months along, a policy banning children under 14 was put in place due to H1N1. DS has been handling it okay, but I have been really sad about it. Well, last night we found out that they have lifted the ban 
DS can now come with us and participate in the birth, as long as he isn't sick. Also, after the birth, my other children can come see us, including my 2 yo DD who is still nursing and I was worried sick about.
Apparently, this baby has fantastic timing, because if s/he had come any earlier, this wouldn't have been possible.
I just wanted to share my excitement. It has really lifted my spirits and made me better able to handle these few remaining days of waiting. YAYYYYY!!!!
