pelvic girdle/band recommendations

I think I have a mild case of SPD--it's not excruciating by any means, just a bit uncomfortable, and only a little painful if I push it too hard by walking for miles and climbing lots of stairs.

My NP suggested I get a pelvic girdle or band, and she suggested any maternity store should have one. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good one? I'm usually an online shopper but perhaps it's better to go into a store to try one on and see different sizes/shapes?

This helps? I would definitely say mine (if that is what it is) frequently reaches the "excruciating" mark, and I would love anything that helps!

I have SPD and I bought a maternity belt called the Mini Cradle. I wear it down really low over my butt and pubic bone and it does help me quite a bit. I like this one because it's only about 3 inches wide so it doesn't press on my belly, which I find uncomfortable. It also puts less pressure on my bladder. I can wear it sitting down but I usually loosen it some because then it does press on my bladder.

My SPD wasn't too bad though, usually only a 2-3 on a 1-10 scale of pain. Although I did have a couple times where I moved wrong and then it was excruciating. The belt mainly helped me to not aggravate it when I was doing a lot of standing and walking.

What helped the most for me was a visit to the chiropractor. I went last week for the first time and at first I thought she messed me up more because I was in more pain that night. But it was actually all the ligaments and muscles adjusting to my pelvis being in position. The pain got less and less over the last week and I just realized today that it was gone. I still get a twinge if I move wrong but nothing like before. I'm amazed!

I was looking at the Mini Cradle, I'm glad you've had success with it! There are so many different styles, but I really wasn't interested in the full belly-covering ones (I usually find material over my belly too itchy).

Maybe I'll try a chiro too! At this point my SPD isn't too bad, about 2 out of 10. I just don't want it to get worse.

Yeah, that's what I was worried about, it getting worse. It seemed to be headed down that road. Plus, I heard pelvic misalignment can lead to malposition of the baby and I didn't want to risk that.
