Does frozen, reheated soup really taste the same?

My DH works nights so at dinnertime I generally cook just for me. Soup is great in the winter but it's hard to make just one serving! I am embarressed to say I have even thrown some out because I just don't know how to keep it and reheat it. I don't use a microwave so it's gotsta be stovetop. Can you give me tips?

Thanks!

I think frozen/left over soup is better! The flavors have had a chance to come together and I think the flavor is enhanced by the extra time.

I just freeze or refrigerate it and then plop it in a pan to reheat.

Soup that's frozen, then reheated, is yummy! Just put the frozen lump right in your pan. You'll want to start off with fairly low heat, so it doesn't burn as it thaws, and make sure you stir it around. Once there's a good amount of liquid, you can turn it up a bit, and heat it through.
