What gives: bad knees good in pregnancy?

I've got a personal and family history of bad knees: they twist and turn, and make clicking noises when I climb stairs. Anyway, I just realized the other day that my knees haven't hurt during this pregnancy (I'm almost 34 weeks) and haven't really been clicking for quite a while. Any theories on what gives with this? What's so special about pregnancy? I'd love to be able to replicate this down the road!

are you eating differently or taking vitamins or supplements that you don't when you're not pregnant? bad knees can be a sign of a nutritional deficiency or a food intolerance (which is ultimately a result of a nutritional deficiency), which you may be addressing inadvertantly!

I thought during pregnancy your joints in general loosen up a little. Hips, to cater to childbirth, and knees and ankles go along a bit for the ride. Maybe your joints spread out a bit and it was enough to stop the clicking and grinding?

Sorry; I guess if this is the cause, it would be hard to replicate. Maybe with a back-to-back series of pregnancies?

Not at 37! Maybe I should've started younger...
