My son is now 19 months old and for the past week he has been spitting food out constantly. Up until this point he has been great about trying new things and likes most things. His appetite isn't the greatest at times but I've been told by my Mom and sisters that this is normal at his age. He is not teething at the moment so I really don't think it has anything to do with his gums being sore. That said, he doesn't have many teeth (only 4 on top and 4 on the bottom) so our food options are limited since he can't chew many things adequately.
My husband thinks we should go back to feeding him baby food so I may try that since he does seem to gobble down yogurt....
Any ideas? I'm getting pretty frustrated because sometimes he seems to enjoy what he's being fed but stores it in his cheek and then spits out a whole gob at once and at other times he flat out refuses to eat something I know he likes and puts on this "Ewww!" face and waves his had in front of his face.
He doesn't get anything throughout the night except for water normally (unless he indicates he's hungry) and he gets two small sippy cups of whole milk a day plus a few sippy cups of 20% juice and 80% water.
