Zofran, Reglan and breastfeeding 19 month old

I was taken to the emergency room for dehydration this afternoon. I told the doctor that I was breastfeeding, yet he had them start an IV with zofran and reglan.

When I was ready to go home, I asked the doctor if I could continue breastfeeding. He told me not for 24 hours. Now I have a 19 month old screaming for "nah nahs" and I don't know how Im going to handle this all night.

I looked up zofran and reglan online and I read that it's ok to breastfeed while taking these drugs...

Anyone know for sure?

Also if anyone has any tips to help me make it through till tomorrow at 8pm - I could use some inspiration..

Well this is a little late, but women take Reglan to help increase their supply and a lot of women take Zofran in the first trimester of pregnancy for nausea and vomiting! Most docs.... especially and ER doc just don't know what to say, so they err on the side of caution!
