My DS is turning 6 and we're having his birthday party at our house. We'll likely have about 15 kids, ranging in age from 4-6 (plus my nearly 3 year old).
I need some games or activities to plan for the party. I don't want them running wild throughout the house, and want a couple of activities for them to do as a group. They will be decorating their own loot bags when they first arrive, then making their own pizzas and decorating cupcakes, then there will be a magician later on. I need something for them to do while they wait for the pizzas to cook (before the magician arrives). This will be anywhere between 20 minutes to 45 minutes depending on when everyone arrives, and how fast they finish their loot bags and pizzas.
All of the games/activities I can find on line seem to have "winners" and "losers", but I want more of either a cooperative type game or something where everyone participates. We don't have much room as our living room etc. will be where the tables will be for decorating their loot bags and eating, but we do have a clean, dry unfinished basement.
I thought about a scavenger hunt, but my DS will be upset if he doesn't get to find the clues, some kids are bigger than others and will likely "push" other kids out of the way, and I don't really want everyone running throughout our whole house, upstairs, etc.
Any ideas?
TIA!
