I have read a bit about the "pink pee" test and want to give it a shot. I understand it is not fool-proof, but I figure it is the fastest and easiest place to start with identifying potential detox pathway issues and/or stomach acid issues. Or at least narrowing things down a bit....

A few questions:

~ Can you use canned beets? How many? I have eaten spoonfuls every time we eat at Souplantation and have never noticed any changes in my urine. Would this already answer the question?

~ I received fresh, local, organic beets in our last CSA box (two weeks ago). Are they still good? How do I prepare them?

~ What is the most reliable way to do the "pink pee" test?

~ How do you get a reluctant husband and child to eat beets in order to do the test on them? I like beets (at least the canned ones, never had fresh before), but my family has zero interest.

THANK YOU!
