Cookie Sheets

Mine have to be replaced immediately. I've had them for years. They have non-stick coating that started coming off the other day, so into the trash they go. I want to avoid non-stick. I bake a lot, like weekly, so I need something that will last. What should I get?

i have these from william-sonoma and i LOVE them! i've had them well over a year and they look brand new....no warping, etc.

baking sheets

for cookies/rolls/etc. i use these in my pans and they are a lifesaver!

silpat half sheet liners

and for baking chicken/etc. i set this in my pan....

cooling rack

these few items allow me to cook/bake just about anything!

Check out a restaurant supply store for the best prices on half-sheet pans. That's what I have. I have 3 half-sheet pans and silpats for each of them. The commercial grade ones are heavy duty, double-walled so they don't warp regardless of how much weight you put on them, and they also prevent scorching.

Funny, after I posted I was talking about this to DH and said "What I really want to do is get half sheet pans with silpats." I guess that is what I will be doing!

B&G, promise I am not stalking you, but ITA with pp about the half-sheets and silicone baking sheets. We love ours. I also have some really nice cookie sheets. Good stuff.

I'm glad you asked b/c mine have stuff peeling off them, too!! Freaked me out, and I have still been using them but lining them with aluminum foil every time. They badly need replacing. Thanks for the suggestions and links.

this is great advice on the restaurant supply store . unfortunately even though i live in a bigger city, we only have one of that type of store and they aren't open to the public. so williams-sonoma is my 'go to' place for any kind of commercial grade cookware/bakeware.......and at only $19 each, they were comparable to the cheapie stuff i found at target and bb&b.

i have 4 half sheet pans, 4 silpats and 1 of the fitted cooling racks......we do a lot of baking at christmas so the extra pans come in very handy!
