what to expect now RE current milk supply

anyone have experience w/ nursing a toddler while pregnant? i've always extended nursed, but my kids have always been further spaced. would love to hear personal testimonies. i'm also curious about (if my milk remains availabe throughout) tandem nursing, specifically the logistics of nursing two children during the night. i just can't imagine what that looks like; mom in the middle and long, floppy boobs pulled to each side? hehe

Lady Elms - I nursed my tot through my pregnancy - my milk dried up after a couple of months but he dry nursed/drank colostrum until the babe was born and now I nurse both of them, but not usually at the same time - too awkward for me!

my eldest and middle are 3 years apart and he weaned at about 12 weeks, if i can remember correctly. i know that it was uncomfortable for me, and one day i said "im not really enjoying this anymore" and he said something like "okay mama" and that was that. he snuggled me and put his hands down my shirt, but didnt need to nurse anymore. i had thought he would start again when his sister was born but he did not. i guess at 12 weeks my milk had all but dried up.

with my middle daughter and my youngest i got pregnant when she was about a year old, and again, by 12 weeks or so she had self weaned. this time she said "your milk tastes bad" or something like that. i was so sad, tried to encourage her to nurse, but she was too big she said.
i had thought that she would nurse again for sure when he sister was born, but that was not the case. she would drink my milk from a cup, but not nurse.

my sil sursed her daughter all through her second pregnancy and till her baby was over a year old, im pretty sure. i wonder why my babies didnt, but i suppose its different for everyone.

*if* i am pregnant, i hope my little one who is 2 this week, continues, but who knows..
