Letter to the pregnancy time line. - Page 3

You know what really gets my OB in a spin? My LMP was Februrary of 2006. Between breastfeeding and birthcontrol, I haven't had a period in almost 4 years! Calculate that! It seriously drives them batty. Even my HBMW started looking for her wheel when I explained that I really didn't know. She was like "well, let's figure out when it should have been". If it wasn't for the ultrasound, they would be really disturbed. I don't really mind. Sometime in August when I'm really fat and tired, I'll have a baby. That's all I really need to know.

I think you've broken a record being 4 years pregnant. LOL

i spent the first 3 months of my pregnancy railing against the system. i had been tracking my ovulation... KNEW i ovulated 24 days after my last period, and KNEW that i could have only gotten pregnant within a couple of days purely on the fact that i only HAD sex on two days that month. and yet, my midwife sent me for a dating ultrasound (which i only went to to prove her wrong), and only changed my dates for me after i told her there was no way in heck someone was going to start harassing me in the last week of march for being overdue when we both knew i wasn't. but of course, every time i go in for an ultrasound, the technicians see my LMP and start telling me i'm measuring behind.

anyway, i did some research on the whole human gestation business. basically, average human gestation is 266 days from conception. first time and causcasian moms should generally add 8-10 days to that... so i'm expecting to be pregnant for about 275 days from my date of conception. which makes my due date even later than the date the midwife gave me the second time.
