Ivy Kathryn arrived January 20 at 9:04pm, one hour and 24 minutes after her water broke. She is gorgeous, 7lbs 15oz, 21" with a head of dark hair.
I was in transition almost immediately after her water broke and man, I forgot how bad that hurt! My poor midwives and DH...I had to scream the entire time. I wish I'd realized just how quick it was going to go - I thought I had hours to go and my body pushed her out on its own in 4 huge pushes on the birth stool. MW held back a cervical lip and she nearly fell out. This time I felt everything, wow, it was beyond intense.

So far she has been attached to my boob and a little cranky. I'm totally in love! Will be back soon to catch up with the past two days!
