Anyone had a rupture/dehiscence/unsuccessful vbac?

As part of my VBAC preparation, I feel the need to prepare myself for the 'just in cases'.

For those of you who ruptured or had a dehiscence - was there any indication other than irregular fetal heart rate? did you feel pain, and if so where was it and how did it differ from the contractions? Was there anything you felt led to the rupture (i.e induction agents, short interdelivery interval, etc?) What was the outcome for you and baby?

For anyone who tried a VBAC and was unable to have one - can you share what happened and if you have thoughts on why it didn't work?

I want to prepare myself to listen to my body as much as possible during labor, and I want to know what to listen for! Thanks ladies!

There are a few threads within this forum that address many of your questions. I don't have the time to locate them at the moment but you should be able to find them with the search function. Specifically, there is at least one thread I can recall that deals with stories of rupture. And there is quite a long thread of unsuccessful VBAC/CBAC stories. There was a mom in my ICAN group who ruptured. Fortunately for her, she was being prepped for a RCS at the time (she was trying for a hospital VBAC but had run into problems that I can't exactly recall now). Literally she was on the operating table leaning fwd to get a spinal when a gush of blood came out - they put her under and got the baby out within a minute or two and everyone ended up ok, but it was very scary.
