Valentine challange- join us

We decided that this year we are going to make Valenties and hand them out at a Senior center, nursing home, or hospice facilty. To bring love and joy into others hearts that may not have any loved ones around anymore. So please join us and lets see how many we can make worldwide and hand out this Valentines day. just post on this thread how many you have made and handed out then after V-day I will add then up to get our Grand total, So whoes in?????

so far we have made 13 butterflies http://familyfun.go.com/valentines-d...y-card-664546/ (we uses clothes pins not stick candy) but we are working on more

I love the idea.

How do you figure out where to bring them? Like, do you just open the phone book, randomly choose a facility & then call them & ask if you can bring V. cards? I assume nursing homes would be open to the idea of kids coming in & handing the residents some cards, but I'm so clueless!

yes, you can call any facility and they would love for you to bring valentine cards! before i was a SAHM, i worked with senior citizens in assisted living (specifically alzheimer's), and we LOVED having guests visit our community. definitely call though, just in case they already have a group planned to attend....you can choose another facility, ykwim? also, you could bring a plate of sugar-free cookies. those are always a big hit too!
