Ideas for announcing pregnancy

So far we haven't told anyone. We have several couples from church who we are very close with, and it just so happens that we will all be together for a superbowl party. I'm thinking it might be the perfect opportunity to tell everyone at the same time. Since we have a ton of kids in the group, all the usual "big sister/brother" t-shirts, bun in the oven, etc. ideas have already been used. Can anyone think of something creative that would fit with a football theme? (or not...) I'm so bad at this kind of thing. Last time we just say "hey guess what, we're expecting"....boring!

What about you and your hubby wearing shirts that say touchdown! on them? Or your hubby wears one that says Team DoulaLMT with QB underneath on it, yours says Team DoulaLMT - Receiver and then Touchdown on the back?

I got a shirt for DD that says 'big sister'. I plan on having her wear that to playdates with close friends. It will be fun!

Make a football cake (if you are into baking? or buy one most stores will be selling them pre-game) and either write on it or have the store write your due date on it (##-##) so people think its your guess for the score of the game.... then when everyones there... ask them all to think what the numbers mean (they will say they assume its what you guess the score will be probably) and then tell them it means thats the day you are due!

LOL this is hilarious! I don't think DH would go for it though.

LOVE IT!! Genius. I bake a ton and am usually on dessert duty at these sorts of events anyway. Thank you Mae!

you could also bring tater tots for those really dense friends...we made a whole meal for my 1st pg to announce to my parents with cornish hens, baby carrots and peas, baby spinach and greens salad, and new potatoes. They totally didn't "get" it until my DH pulled the tater tots out.

I don't have any suggestions, but wanted to say Congrats! I'm pretty sure we were in the same DDC 2 years ago!

That's an awesome idea! Very creative!

I think we're just going to do a "big sister" t-shirt if I can find one. I thought I'd just be able to pick one up at any old store but haven't found one yet.
