I totally agree with you lorijds!!! Everything you've described was exactly what DH and I expected from this show. Nothing big, just little subtle things.

We're so crazy that we started wondering when the skin jobs are created whose personality is inside?

And let's face it, I'm missing the eye candy role that can only be filled by Lee Adama!

Why can't we have a brief, fleeting scene of one of the main characters standing in the museum at Caprica City, looking at the Arrow of Apollo that Starbuck returned to find and bring to Roslin? Why aren't the scrolls of Pythia ever mentioned? Why can't Joseph flick out that lighter every once in a while? How could it be such a good luck charm for Bill Adama, and I don't think I've even seen it in Caprica?

Why can't little things like that be woven into the background?

The atmosphere, the intensity, everything is slower and I find it boring and unfamiliar. It's simply not very interesting to me. Every time an episode was over, I feel like the storyline was advanced by inches, and the only reason I keep watching it is I keep hoping that THIS time, everything will start clicking into place, the connections will be made, and I'll have a big AHA moment. I'm beginning to think that isn't going to happen, though.

I agree. All really great points. You're right, they're moving really slowly. They're connecting only a few dots.

* Zoe's faith in the one god is the root of the cylon's belief.

* Tamara Adama's personality is probably in their personalities, as well. Not sure how, yet. She's ruthless like her father and uncle. That really is a beautiful irony, that her brother becomes the cylons' foe.

<rumination> Joseph Adama = biblical Adam. Perhaps his wife isn't Eve, but Daniel Graystone is. Perhaps this makes Zoe Graystone and Tamara Adama Cain and Abel. Or Abel and Cain.

It's notable that the terrorist act on the part of Zoe's boyfriend (organized by Sister Claire?) sparks the creation of the Cylons. </rumination>

How does Vergis know that Daniel was behind the theft? Is he just guessing? Did I miss something?

Do you think the person Sister Claire or Clarisse (I can't remember) is speaking with in the holo-net or whatever it's called is someone we know already from the series?

It's Clarisse. I realized I was using the wrong name with this last episode.

I think whomever she's talking to in the holo-confessional booth is someone we haven't met yet. But it's my guess that someone at the police department who tipped her off about the locker check.

Off to look up names...

The head of the police investigation department is played by Peter Wingfield, who was Methos in the Highlander TV series. So he might become more significant.

The new season starts next week on October 5th (in the US). It's weird to me that this and Universe will air on Tuesdays rather than Fridays. It just seems like a lot of brooding for the middle of the week.
