my love/hate relationship with Americas Test Kitchen

ok first off what and who I love. I love Julia, Erin for the cooking segments and Adam ( the gadget guy ). I do like the fact that they test the recipes 50 gazillion ways and try to find the best and most consistent recipe. I have liked most of their recipes that I've tried.

who and what I don't like. Chris Kimball totally gets on my nerves and if I have to hear Bridget say " that's right" one more time I'm going to shoot myself.

Sometimes I just think they go too far with the million steps for a recipe to be perfect. And they are not my go to people for bbq, sorry. They utilize the oven way too often in their grilling and bbq recipes. I'm also disappointed in their taste testing segments. Ya I know they are yankees but the choice of brands they test is not varied enough and frankly I question the quality of their taste buds, but I do like the host of the segment.

Wow! I totally agree! On everything! Their New England thing is obvious at least, and distracting at worst.

Ditto to you both! I love Julia and can't stand Kimball. I used to subscribe to the magazine and had to skip his editorials because they irritated me so much.

Have you seen Cook's Country at all? It has (what I think is) a fake "Yankee" moment, where the "neighbor" comes over with food to share and Chris criticizes it and shows us how to improve the recipe.

I have seen Cooks Country and thought that was funny when they showed up with the food too.

I love that show and cooking. I'm not crazy about their cookie baking recipies.

I do get tired of the awkward flirting on set!
