We need new dipes!

Yep, we sure do. Chunky Moo decided to pack on the weight.. she's EBF and has gained more than DD1 who was FFed BUT I thought I had more time with my NB dipes. Nope. We don't

I have no idea where to start. I'm not looking to go broke but don't want prefolds. We were using Mutts, verybaby, and cuddlebuns all in the xs size. We also use GMD prefolds and some of the smallest sized PB&Es.. the orange GMDs and PB&Es don't fit, but the YELLOW GMD prefolds fit quite well.

My one sized dipes are too big on her

can somebody help? sorry if this sounds rambling.. i'm trying to get to bed. Little Moo just wen't down for the count.

TIA!

This is a new system from Nicki's diapers that is coming out soon. You can't order from online yet, but people on Diaper Swappers are calling in orders. It's a one-size cover/shell system with snap-in liners in cotton/hemp or fleece-topped microfiber that seems like it would fit a small baby:

Here is a thread about them on Diaper Swappers:

I personally plan to use pfs for our next babe, but these seem like a great option if you don't want pf's but don't want to spend huge amounts of money. They say you can skip the medium inserts and go from small to large to save money.

I hadn't seen those bestbottoms diapers yet and they look pretty good.

I've been really happy with our Thirsties Duo Wraps and Duo Diapers so far. Both have worked nicely for us, and my ds2 started fitting in the size two at 15 lbs (rather than 18 lbs, which Thirsties suggests), so both my boys fit in the same size, which is perfect. We use a lot of fitteds and pre-fitteds (prefold turned fitted). I like to use them with a snappi because they are so adjustable to fit either of my boys.

Oh. Well, we started potty training ds1 today and he is in underwear. No turning back now. So I guess I only have one in diapers as of today!!

What OS diapers do you have? How much does your lo weigh?

My first thought would be to try a 2 size system. Thirsties Duos are a 2 size cover, and AMP (Annie Marie Padorie) Duos are a 2 size pocket/ai2.

We have a few Goodmamas from DD1 and two BGOS, but I don't like PUL too much so I'm trying for fitteds so I can just throw wool over it.

Thanks for the suggestions

Have you seen the GMD prefold fitteds? They're basically fitteds made from prefolds (duh).

They have them in two styles: velcro closure, and no closure that are able to be pinned or snappied. I believe the non closure style is just under $7, and the velcro closure is between $9-10.

I also really liked our Crickett's Hemp 2 sized fitteds, but lately have been hearing about lots of issues with them getting little holes around the elastic and such. I don't know if it's a batch issue, or something more significant in the manufacture of them. I believe they are somewhere in the range of $12-14.

You could also check out diaperswappers.com-get some of the more expensive fitteds used, therefore saving money.

How about the Snug-to-fit fitteds from GMD or the MEOS fitteds? These are more of a one-size (don't fit newborns but it sounds like they might work well for your little one). Or how about the ME Sandy's for a two-size system? I think all of these are in the $11-12 range, so pretty affordable IMO.

Have you considered clovers fitteds? They aren't that pricey (and you can get them used even cheaper on DS), and they are nice and trim and stretchy.

Tiny Tush OS fitteds might be an option- the way the rise snaps down, doesn't really add much bulk overall, and you don't use the insert on the smallest setting.

Thanks everyone, I'll consider those options! I've been spending alot of time on Spot's Corner, mostly selling off the newborn stuff that doesn't fit I can't seem to find much for her that I like though, and my BG bamboo isn't shipping till 2/2/10. We're part-timing sposies

Maybe I should update my ISO on DS. Right now it just says "Waldorf stuff". I need to get to checking around too.. but it seems I always miss all of the deals!
