Silver nitrate?

Has anybody had silver nitrate treatment? How did it work for you, and what exact symptoms did you have?

I'm 10 mos pp after having third degree tearing, and it is still sensitive to the touch... Not to mention sex, it's very painful inside but that's a differen issue, I suppose. Anyway, just wondering how silver nitrate has worked for others - I haven't found anything on the net about it. Thanks for any info!

Me! With my last birth I had 2 small tears, one took almost 2 months to heal. Only certain parts of the one tear healed and the rest was like an open wound. It hurt to pee every single time, stung like the Dickens! My MW was afraid it was going to get infected so she used a silver nitrate stick to seal the part of the tear and that had not healed... it hurt like HELL (I think my face literally turned white when she did it!), but it worked! It healed within the next couple of days.
