Varney's midwifery study guide

I've seen people ask if other people recommended the Varney's study guide. Common consensus is that Varney's itself is wonderful, but the study guide is a waste of funds for the OOH provider. Could I get explanations for that? I've never bought it myself, going off of others recs, so don't have any personal dislikes to go off of and don't want to buy it just so I can find out what everyone thinks is wrong with it. Continuing that, I'd like to know what you feel was missing from it that would have been helpful for the OOH provider and/or what was unnecessary. I'm doing research for a possible study guide aimed at the OOH provider and would like to hear what you all have to say.

Thanks, that's the kind of info I was looking for.

Do either of you have Varney's Pocket Midwife? I've used it a few times. I like that it's spiral bound too.

I don't have one. I've always ignored it in the past, but it would be nice to have something not quite so imposing so I think I'll have to take a look at it again.
