Do you feel BETTER in the weeks before labor?

Wasn't sure if this was more appropriate in PG or B&B...

I vaguely remember feeling physically BETTER for a time before I went into labor with DD2. I don't remember how long before labor it started, but it wasn't more than a couple weeks. I just had bad SPD, bad leg cramps, felt huge and icky, etc, but I just remember feeling much better (physically) right before she came. Has anybody else had this experience? I'm REALLY hoping that the same thing happens this time, as I feel a thousand times worse this pregnancy.

Yes... my theory is that when the baby drops, everything gets more comfortable because your center of gravity is more like when not pregnant, and your organs get more room.

I don't think it's really related to dropping for me, as that always happens super early with my babies (like 34ish weeks ).

I have no idea, of course... but for me it did seem like the baby was already descending around 33 weeks. (And my fundal measurements stopped getting larger then as well.)

I have no other theories :-) I just know that I don't even feel pregnant at this point - I'm almost 38 weeks - except for the cough I've had for a couple of months that the doctors say is caused by reflux.

That happened with my daughter. The couple of weeks before she was born my round ligament pain eased up, the horrible knee and ankle and foot pain I'd been having disappeared, and I felt better then I had in months. Definitely not related to baby dropping, since she didn't drop until 4 days before she was born. I attributed it at the time to relaxin doing something useful to my joints.

This time my joint pain just kicked in about 2 weeks ago, and I'm due on Wednesday so I'm feeling worse then ever!

I've been feeling better but I attribute it to being off work. I'm due Wed, nothing happening, baby hasn't dropped, no signs of labor starting.

So maybe it's simply that we rest more?

I was laid off with my DD at 6.5 mo pregnant, and did a lot of resting before she was born- if anything, TOO much resting! So I don't think it was a factor in pain decrease the week or two before she was born.

This time I've been pretty busy the whole pregnancy, possibly even more busy the last couple of months with Christmas, etc, and have overall felt better this pregnancy then I did last time- until a couple of weeks ago.

So no clues, here!
