in labor. at 7cm. really weird for me, kind of long and slow. inconsistent but finally making some progress.
we shall see. i'll be PISSED if it piddles out now. midwives have been here since 4!
Finally! Baby boy is here. 8lbs 12oz, 20" long, born at 1:20am. Really strange labor for me. It was actually longer than my first labor and I pushed for longer than my first baby! It was really surreal.
Thankfully, it was a slow, easy, doable labor until the last hour or two. We have some issues (prolapsed uterus - fun) so I am on bed rest and antibiotics for awhile.
My little boys are in love. The almost 4yo is sooooo sweet, he has not stopped smiling since he came in our room this morning at 6am and saw the new baby! Our 2yo is a little leary of this interloper but has been mostly ignoring him rather than trying to hurt him or anything.
I'll write up my birth story later. Thanks for all the well wishes, ladies! I can't wait until we are all 'on the other side' of labor!
